In addition to the current time, the legible display also shows the internal temperature, date and day of the week. The clock can be powered by 4 AA batteries (not included), the included AC adapter, or from a USB port (e.g. on a computer or laptop).
When operating on batteries, the clock's screen goes off after 10 seconds. The batteries perform the function of backup energy supply. You can turn the screen on by pressing any button. It's not possible to have the screen on constantly with just batteries as source of energy.
