The ER20 has a dual-band radio tuner with PLL digital synthesis, which receives programs broadcast in the FM and AM bands. The FM frequency reception range is 87.5–108.0 MHz and the AM range is 522–1620 kHz. The range can be switched using the "mode" button on the front panel, while the desired station can be tuned using the "previous" or "next" buttons on the front of the device. An automatic radio station programming function is available – simply press and hold the "PROG" button and the device will scan and program the available radio stations. If you want to program radio stations in your own order, you can do so manually. You can store up to 50 radio stations in FM and 20 in AM. The current frequency can be checked on the LED display, also located on the main panel.

In order to ensure the best possible radio signal reception, a telescopic rotating antenna has been built in, which can be easily extended and rotated in any direction.
The radio has an alarm clock function. The alarm can be set using a buzzer or by automatically turning on the radio station. There is also a SLEEP function, i.e., a timer. You can select a range of minutes from 15 to 90, after which the radio will automatically turn off.
The ER20 has the ability to emit a loud SOS alarm signal. This feature can be used when the user is lost in the forest and needs help. The volume level of the SOS alarm signal is 110 dB. This is a really loud signal that will help locate the lost person and make the work of the relevant emergency services much easier.
The radio also has a built-in flashlight with three lighting modes. The first mode allows for spot lighting, and the beam has a longer range. The second mode offers a more diffused light with a wider range, but slightly shorter than the first mode. The third mode is a combination of spot lighting and diffused lighting, providing the best effect. In addition to the flashlight, there is also a reading light built into the solar panel. It has twelve bright LEDs and turns on automatically when the solar panel is raised.
The ER20 is powered by a built-in 2000 mAh lithium-ion battery and has a triple charging system. At the rear of the housing, under a silicone cap, there is a standard USB-C charging port. The set includes a suitable cable that can be connected, for example, to any smartphone charger or any other power source that offers a charging current of 5V and 1A. A full charge can be achieved in about 4-5 hours.
In emergency situations where there is no access to mains power, two other charging options can be used: a 68×26 mm solar panel built into the upper part of the housing or a built-in crank generator.

When charging with a solar panel, a full charge can be achieved after approximately 60 hours of exposure to full sunlight. However, it is important to remember not to allow the battery to become completely discharged beforehand.
When charging with the crank, you can use the flashlight at the same time. After approximately 360 rotations, the generated power is sufficient for about 30 minutes of radio use at medium volume or for lighting the way with the flashlight.
Depending on the volume level, a fully charged battery will last for about 10-15 hours of radio use.
The LED display shows an approximate battery charge level indicator, allowing you to monitor the battery status at any time.
